I am continuing to enjoy this lovely hot spell of weather and so are our guests…………….they have been enjoying trips to Padstow on their bikes and paddling about on the beaches at Widemouth and Bude.
Last week we didn’t just have a dog staying for me to play with (the very mellow Wellington) we also had Herman the tortoise. I met him mooching about in the garden but he didn’t want to play and kept disappearing into his shell!
Well my owners are certainly getting the technology bug and getting all up-to-date with website stuff – quite impressed really!

Hi – Herman the tortoise here. I did enjoy my stay at the cottages – it’s my 3rd time there and it was lovely and hot. I loved rambling through the shrubbery but was a bit scared when I met Ruben! He was very big and kept nuzzling his nose at me! He meant me no harm, he was just intrigued as he had never met a tortoise before! Maybe when I see him again I won’t be as scared! We could be friends!

Hi Ruben! We came to stay at your cottages a few weeks ago & loved it (especially the pool)! We tried to find you at the end of every day & sometimes you let us stroke you & sometimes not so much! You were very patient with us though (& we are 2 & 4!). Thank you!
